Donna passed away suddenly at her home in Carman, Manitoba, on the afternoon of New Year’s Day, after spending Christmas with her family. Her 85th birthday would have been on January 6th. Beloved wife of Nester Kohut and loving mother of Lori and Barb.
Cremation has taken place, and the funeral was held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Carman United Church, with Pastor Trudy Thorarinson of Grace St. John’s Anglican-Lutheran Church presiding. The service is available online.

Aunty Donna was an integral part of family events. Always there, busy with cleaning or putting more food out or getting in the thick of conversations happening around her. She always took the time to ask those deep questions and really wanted to understand what was going on in your life. I have fond memories of spending close time with her when I would babysit my cousin and she made me believe I can do great things with my life.
